Lucy is a single mother who has a young son and is returning home to Nashville from Atlanta after a failed attempt to establish a life there. In order to get back on her feet, she has to move in with her brother. Then Lucy meets Cooper, her brother Drew's best friend, and discovers he's off-limits. But she can't get her mind off him.

Cooper is that brother's closest friend. According to Drew, he cannot date Lucy. There's no doubt that he's a flirt, an outgoing individual who isn't afraid to express himself. He's determined to let others know there's more to him than meets the eye.

Apart from the captivating romance, the characters of Lucy and Cooper have quickly become favorites of mine. Lucy is endearing with her awkwardness and candidness, and her lack of self-assurance as a mother adds depth to her character. The chemistry between Lucy and Cooper is heartwarming and it helps Lucy to regain her self-confidence and become the strong woman she always was.

If you're in search of a charming, heartwarming read with minimal sexual content, look no further. "This book" is the perfect fit. It lifted me out of a reading slump and allowed me to immerse in a delightful romance throughout its pages. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. This novel brought me feelings of joy, warmth, and pure pleasure, like a bowl of sweet cereal. This book will have you laughing out loud and is a light-hearted read despite tackling significant themes like single parenthood, self-doubt, heartbreak, familial dynamics, and the pursuit of living fully.

The author skillfully crafted the back-and-forth dialogue between the characters, making it impossible to put the book down. Despite keeping the story flirtatious and alluring, the author manages to keep the sexual content within the boundaries of 'closed-door' scenes, catering to readers who prefer a more subtle approach. It's truly a remarkable talent. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Sarah Adams is a master at writing closed-door romance and this romantic comedy is no exception. Despite the lack of explicit content, the chemistry and passion between the two main characters are palpable. I highly recommend this book, you won't be disappointed.
