“Fleeting Emotions" is a collection of 7 short stories. Each story is filled with different emotions.
The Stranger of the Night- This story is about a couple who are struggling to become parents. They finally found a ray of hope with their fourth child after a miscarriage and losing their baby in the early days. It's a story of happiness.
The teacher's Niece- It is the story of a teenager who falls in love with his teacher's niece. It is a kind of funny story about the silly fantasies of a teenager and his innocent crush.
The Day i decided to die- It is the story of a man who decides to end his life due to financial constraints. The day he decides to end his life, he meets three different people who are struggling with different kinds of problems. And meeting those people changes his outlook towards life.
Never give up on your sorrows in your life and should not take any such step which will cause more sorrow to your family members. There are ups and downs in life and facing them is the wisest decision not to fear them and think of suicide.
The Big If- It is the story of two different lovers who meet after 25 years at a strange juncture in their lives. This is the story of the innocent incomplete love.
My Dad's Funeral- This is the story of a son who lives away from his parents. And one day he got the news that he had lost his father. The story revolves around the father-son relationship. The story is full of grief of losing someone who is very close to our hearts.
The Chills- This story chills me too. This story is about losing yourself.
Croissant- It is the story of a brother's struggle to fulfill his sister's wish. Tikki, a two-and-a-half-year-old girl who loves to eat croissants but her financial condition does not allow her to eat croissants. And when he finally has his croissant, that scene will melt your heart.
"The Stranger of the Night", "The Day I Decide to Die", "The Big If" and "Croissant" are my favorite stories.
We usually don't give importance to small things in our life, we take everything for granted, eating croissants may be a small thing for us, but it can be someone's dream. This story touched my heart because we never value anything until we are deprived of it. Do you know that what we have today can be someone's dream, that is, we are living someone's dream, so it is important to be happy in whatever we have.
The language is very simple and understandable. The author has very well presented the lives of those people whose lives have been affected the most due to COVID-19, their struggle, their struggle to bring their life back to normal, everything has been told in a very touching way. This book has been written in a very simple way, even if you are a new reader, you can read it.
If you are looking for a short story, you can pick it up.
