Family, relationships, adjustment, and dreams are the themes of the story. Sometimes things don't turn out as we imagined or sketched them. It's all about lessons, understanding, and effort in life. A true example of this can be found in this novel.
The protagonist, Priyanka is a headstrong woman whose parents never restrained her. Throughout her life, she explored many things and was always vocal about her thoughts. Her life took an unexpected turn when she married. Here's the story of Varun and Priyanka. A young woman with ambition and independence, Priyanka has a great deal of potential. It is her dream to live a comfortable life with a partner who can pamper her. Varun, on the other hand, is an honest and hardworking guy who does his job with full dedication. Respecting his parents and obeying their decisions have always been a priority for him.

Of course, the pandemic has taught us a lot of things that we usually overlook, and the same happened with Priyanka. Despite having everything she wanted in life, she didn't appreciate it. As a result of the pandemic, she realized that she had been wrong and what was really important in life. While reading the story, the reader will feel that we get to see such situations generally around us. The book adds flavor, with melodrama typically found in households, repairing bonds and recognizing mistakes, and respecting others' emotions.

Many parts of Priyanka's character didn't appeal to me. It was either hiding her true self before marriage or being rigid like a teenager. Varun's character is the same, instead of assuming about her, he should have told her about her expectations about marriage earlier. An institution such as marriage requires adjustment. There's going to be a slippery slope throughout the process if neither side is willing to adjust their lifestyle to accommodate the other.

It is a fast-paced book with a smooth writing style. This story had a great deal of character development. They all contributed to the plot's success. As a result, the drama did not seem boring at all. It turned out to be an enjoyable, light read. The book would be a good choice for readers who enjoy reading family dramas.

My Rating:

3/5
