The narrative unfolds against the backdrop of the COVID-19 lockdown, aptly named. It centres around Kalyani, an ambitious young woman based in Delhi, who received a job offer from a fashion company in Chandigarh just before the lockdown commenced. Stranded alone throughout the entire lockdown period, Kalyani faced numerous challenges, including a heart-wrenching breakup with her long-time boyfriend, Akash.
In an effort to overcome the emotional turmoil, she immersed herself in various activities. One day, while scrolling through her social media, she stumbled upon a poetry page that captured her interest. This discovery marked a turning point, leading to a new chapter in her life. Through the poetry page, Kalyani connected with Aryan, who eventually became her soulmate. Aryan's inspiration played a pivotal role in encouraging Kalyani to embark on her debut novel-writing journey.
The narrative unfolds as an emotional roller coaster, offering a concise yet impactful journey within its approximately 170 pages. Delicately avoiding spoilers, the plot intricately weaves emotions that resonate deeply. The author employs a lucid and accessible language, making it an ideal choice for readers at any level of experience.
