Step into the enchanting world of the Hawthorne Brothers series with 'HOW TO KISS YOUR GRUMPY BOSS,' penned by the talented Jenny Proctor. Immersed in Jenny's captivating storytelling, I've developed an everlasting affection for her books. The Hawthorne family and their charming farm setting have won me over. From adorable baby goats to the joy of apple picking and the allure of cosy restaurants, this series is a delightful journey into love and family.

Meet Lila, a dedicated single mom who serves as the virtual assistant to Perry, her gruff and divorced boss. When Perry unexpectedly promotes her to an in-person role, the air becomes tense as their instant connection ignites, revealing undeniable chemistry between them.
His ex-wife left him scarred, doubting his ability to navigate the dating world again. And frankly, if you've seen him in action, you might agree. However, everything changes when he meets Lila, his virtual assistant, face-to-face. Despite his rusty social skills, Lila sparks a newfound interest in dating within him. Her willingness to challenge him and transition from virtual to in-person assistant opens up exciting opportunities for them to connect, especially considering her role as a single mom, eliminating the need for a babysitter. Similar to what we saw in the first instalment, the Hawthorne family dynamics are a joy to witness. Olivia and their mother embrace Lila warmly, instantly making her feel at home. Perry's brothers provide the support and encouragement he needs when doubts and insecurities creep in. Lila and Jack shine as well. Lila's dedication to being the best mom to Jack is admirable, and her realization that she deserves happiness too is inspiring. Jack steals the spotlight as Lila's son, his authentic childlike antics bringing laughter and warmth to the story.

This charming romance will wrap around your heart, evoking a myriad of emotions impossible to resist. The characters have been brilliantly crafted, inviting you to fall in love with them instantly. I wholeheartedly recommend this enchanting tale—a beautiful narrative that will stay with you long after the final page.
