The story unfolded in a charming little town, embracing the classic "friends to lovers" theme, offering a delightful, swift-paced, and heartwarming reading experience.

Brody has loved Kate since he was 11 years old, but alas, she never reciprocated his love. Leaving Brody behind, Kate pursued her dreams of becoming a travel writer. Although they had not communicated for four years, Brody's love remained unwavering.
The fates have brought them together again, but Kate is unsure of her life's direction. In a strange way, she finds herself drawn to Brody. A passionate kiss between them further complicates her emotions, leaving her in a state of utter confusion.
Now, the question remains: will Kate finally allow herself to be loved and embrace love in return, or will she run away when faced with the intensity of her feelings? The journey to discovering her heart's true desires has just begun.

Each and every character in this book felt unbelievably authentic, evoking an instant emotional response in me. The bond between the Hawthorne siblings was a joy to witness, reflecting a deep sense of closeness that echoed throughout the entire family. And as for Brody, goodness gracious, you won't find a more saintly character anywhere else. I admire his character the most; his love of numbers is similar to mine. As a fellow numbers enthusiast, I found this aspect of him particularly captivating and endearing, drawing me closer to his character.
The writing style appealed to me, and I found the entire Hawthorne family endearing. Although many of them extended a warm welcome to Kate, I could empathize with their apprehensions regarding her deepening connection with Brody.
The language in this book is lucid, and the narration is simply superb, making it a fast-paced delight for romance enthusiasts. Even if you're not typically drawn to the romance genre (like myself), I would suggest you to give it a chance. I am wholeheartedly recommending this book to fellow book lovers out there.
