Clementine, a book publicist in her late twenties, seems to have her life and career neatly mapped outโ€”until the sudden loss of her beloved Aunt Analea turns her world upside down. Along with her grief, she inherits her auntโ€™s apartment, a place her aunt always insisted was โ€œmagical,โ€ though Clementine never truly believed it. That is, until the day she walks in to find a strangerโ€” Iwanโ€”standing in the kitchen. The twist? Heโ€™s subletting the apartment from her aunt, but seven years ago.
What unfolds is a beautifully unconventional love story between Clementine and Iwan, bound by deep connection yet separated by time itself. The time difference brings both poignancy and complexity, raising questions about fate, longing, and what it truly means to love someone with whom you cannot share the same present. While I was captivated by their story, I did wish for a slower build in their relationship. The romance developed rather quickly over a weekend, and though their instant chemistry was undeniable, a slower unfolding could have allowed for an even richer emotional depth. That said, their bond still shone through as something rare, fated, and profoundly moving.

The writing style is engaging and easy to follow, the narration flows seamlessly, and the characters are well-developed. The plot itself is refreshingly unique, blending romance with a touch of magic in a way that lingers.
This novel is a tender and heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and the unexpected ways life guides us to the people we need most. Clementine and Iwanโ€™s story, imbued with elements of magical realism, remains deeply human at its core. It is a tale of healing, rediscovery, and the quiet courage required to open oneโ€™s heart again.

I would highly recommend this novel to all readers, especially romance enthusiasts, who are sure to be captivated by its heartfelt storytelling and imaginative premise.
